In 1932, Imperial Japanese aided the northeast Manchukuo puppet government and put forward five races Concord. Imperial Japan co-opted the traditional five colours of the existing flag, but added new interpretations that included family (red), Han (blue), Mongolia (white), Korean (black), Manchu (yellow).
